Cairns has great digital connectivity, fast internet speeds and NBN connection. The Cairns -Port Douglas region is a Business Fibre Zone and  The Cairns and Port Douglas areas are an nbn™ Business Fibre zone, eligible for business nbn™ Enterprise Ethernet.

Upgrades to the NBN from 2021 are giving more Cairns suburbs more options to upgrade their connections for improved download speeds and broadband. Throughout 2021, a long list of Cairns suburbs will also be eligible to benefit from new fibre extensions and access to higher broadband speeds on demand.

Greater access through Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) upgrades will be in place by the end of 2021. If you have a home or business address already, you can check the internet options here.

Running an online business in Cairns
